BioCorRx Inc () announced Friday that it is offering free access to its UnCraveRx app for weight loss management for a limited period to support people through the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
In a statement, the Anaheim, California-based healthcare company which develops advanced treatment solutions for addiction, weight loss, and other related disorders, said people can download the companys UnCraveRx App online at http://www.myuncraverx.com or through the Android or iOS app store.
The app includes cardio, strength training, endurance fitness classes that cover a range of fitness styles, nutrition advice, and lifestyle support. BioCorRX said its app also offers tools to track calorie intake and expenditure, overall physical activity, and distance tracking.
BioCorRx CFO Lourdes Felix said that the coronavirus pandemic is forcing millions of people around the world to adjust to life indoors.
During the quarantine, its important for people to have access to exercise and nutritional programs in order to boost the immune system and also provide some stress relief. The UnCraveRx app features on-demand virtual lifestyle, fitness, nutrition support and lifestyle modification group support, said Felix.
We want UnCraveRx to serve as a platform for people to be able to learn about what it takes to make good choices for their bodies and help people find the advantage they need in order to meet their lifestyle goals during this time and beyond, she added.
The company's 12-week UnCraveRx Weight Loss Program combines a sustained-release anti-craving medication with a virtual concierge app that provides access to on-demand virtual fitness, nutrition and lifestyle group support.
Earlier this month, BioCorRx said it is also offering free access to its recovery program mobile platform to assist medical professionals engage with their patients recover from alcohol or drug dependencies. BioCorRx Recovery Program is a proprietary medication-assisted treatment (MAT) program that uses specific behavioral therapy modules and peer support in conjunction with physician-prescribed medications for alcohol and opioid use disorders.
