Weight loss: Lose weight by increasing your ‘NEAT’ without doing intense exercising – Times of India
Posted: September 29, 2020 at 10:56 pm
Increase your daily number of steps
We walk while doing daily chores in the house. You can increase the steps by parking your car at the farthest spot, walking to the grocery store and taking your dog for a walk. You can also increase your daily steps by simply walking while talking on the phone.
Do some stretching while watching TV
We all love to relax on the couch while watching our favourite series. But what if we told you that stretching while watching TV can help increase your NEAT. All you have to do is simply sit on the floor and stretch out your legs, shoulders, back and hands while enjoying your favourite TV show.
Get a standing desk
Though the number of calories burned while using a standing desk versus sitting desk is not huge, but you are more likely to move around while you work on a standing desk as compared to sitting down.
Many people have even claimed that they got relief from back pain by switching to a standing desk.
Cooking at least one meal for yourself
By cooking, we obviously don't mean just throwing something in the microwave. If you do proper cooking (from raw material), you can burn around 200 calories per hour. And an extra 75 calories for cleaning up afterwards. The benefits of cooking on your own are not just limited to this, you get to eat a healthy and nutritious meal too.
Fidgeting
Activities that involve repeated tapping of fingers, playing with rings, bouncing of legs and other small movements of hand and feet, impatiently or restlessly, come under fidgeting.
Spontaneous physical activities can increase your energy expenditure and control body weight.
According to a report in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, energy expenditure of 24 individuals was measured while resting, standing, sitting, walking and fidgeting.
It was found that fidgeting increased energy levels substantially, which contributed to weight loss.
Gardening
Gardening uses a lot of energy. Planting, digging holes, uprooting, mowing the lawn can increase NEAT levels.
45-60 minutes of gardening daily can help in maintaining body weight, especially in the middle-aged people.

3
Cline Dion, 52, is most famous for her unbelievable singing talents.
But the superstar singer has been seeing the conversation about her appearance take up more headlines in the past few years.
The Because You Loved Me hitmaker has been looking noticeably slimmer following the death of her husband Ren Anglil in 2016.
However the exact amount of weight she has lost over recent years has never been confirmed.
3

Here’s What Sharon Osbourne Said about Her Daughter Kelly’s Drastic Weight Loss Transformation – AmoMama
Posted: September 29, 2020 at 10:56 pm
In a recent interview, The Talk co-host Sharon Osbourne discussed her daughters incredible weight loss by praising her and noting how her child could do anything she sets her mind to.
Sharon Osbournes daughter, Kelly Osbourne, 35, has lost 85 pounds. In August 2020, Kelly confirmed that shed secretly undergone two years ago to help her lose a lot of weight.
Shes since showed off the results of the surgery and healthy living on Instagram. Kelly was also recently seen showing off her new frame during a lunch date with a friend at Gracias Madre in West Hollywood.
KELLYS SURGERY
Sharons daughter announced that shed had surgery while on the podcast Hollywood Raw with Dax Holt and Adam Glyn. Shes stopped drinking and eats healthier food.
While speaking to Entertainment Tonight (ET) last Tuesday, the talk show co-host discussed her daughters incredible weight loss journey. The Talks co-host gushed about how great her daughter looked now.
SHARONS SURGERY
Kelly was actually walking in her mothers footsteps. In 1999, Sharon underwent her own gastric bypass surgery but her journey wasnt as positive as her daughters.
In 2014, she confessed to the publication that she had regretted having the surgery. She revealed, at the time, that she had the band removed in 2006, however, she was supportive of her daughter.
SHARON PRAISES DAUGHTER
Speaking to ET recently she said: "She's like, shes unbelievable" adding: "Listen, she can do anything." In 2011, Kelly confessed to Shape about the bullying shed experienced while growing up in the public eye.
The star revealed that she was called ugly and fat in the press for most of her life. She admitted that the labels left her broken-hearted and ruined her self-esteem.
KELLYS BULLYING BY MEDIA
The medias constant bullying led her to start hating herself. Kelly shared how angry she was about the things people said about her.
She explained that she believed the bullying is what led to her becoming addicted to Vicodin. Sharons daughter ended up going to rehabilitation three different times.
SOME BAD NEWS
Although Sharon was quite positive about her daughters journey, last week she revealed some bad news from the Osbourne family. On September 21, 2020, The Talk launched its season 11 premiere.
During the episode, Sharon confessed how her granddaughter Minnie had tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease. Minnie is the co-hosts son, Jack Osbournes 3-year-old daughter.
SHARONS REMOTE APPEARANCE
Sharon had to appear virtually on the show from her home before her granddaughters diagnosis. Co-hosts Carrie Ann Inaba and Sheryl Underwood appeared in person while Eve also featured remotely.
Her granddaughter contracted COVID-19 from someone who works for her father. Luckily, Minnie was said to be doing good and her grandmother used her case as an example that even children could catch the virus.

Ideal weight for Indian men and women increased to 65-55kg: Here are a few tips to stay fit  |  Photo Credit: iStock Images
Hyderabad: The National Institute of Nutrition (NIN), which is located in Hyderabad, has revised the ideal weight for both men and women in the country by adding 5-5 kg. As per the new guidelines, the average weight of Indian men is 65kg, whereas, for women, the average weight has now been increased to 55 kg. The leading nutrition research body also made changes in the height of both men and women.
The NIN, which is one of the oldest research centers in India and the largest center, under the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), in its 2020 report released on Monday, increased the weight of an ideal or reference Indian man to 65kg, an increase of 5 kg from 60kg in 2010, reported TOI. For women, the average weight has now gone up to 55 kg from 50kg.
The research body also increased the height for men to 5 feet 8 inches from 5 feet 6 inches a decade ago. Similarly, the height of Indian women has now been increased to 5 feet 3 inches from 5 feet in 2010. Your height and weight are the two primary parameters that impact your health and are co-related using height and weight charts.
According to the scientists at the NIN, the body mass index (BMI) of Indian people has been changed because of an increase in nutritional intake among the people. This time, the experts also included data from rural areas unlike 10 years ago where only urban areas were included in the data.
Additionally, the NIN also revised its recommended dietary allowance and estimated average requirement (EAR) recommendations for Indians. Under the new guidelines, the definition for reference adult man and woman of the country has now been changed to 19-39 years from 20-39 in 2010. Scientists also stated that the 1989 expert committee included only the weight and height of children and adolescents from well-to-do families.
The expert panel also, for the first time, recommended the intake of fibre-based energy foods. Dietary fibre, also known as roughage or bulk, is an essential nutrient thats been linked to a number of health benefits such as normalising bowel movement, improving weight loss, lowering cholesterol levels, etc. In fact, research has shown that a diet rich in fibre is linked with a lower risk of excess belly fat. A healthy diet consisting of plenty of different nutrient-dense foods along with other healthy lifestyle changes will help you avoid gaining weight and belly fat.

Diabetes and Weight Loss Linked to Increased Pancreatic Cancer Risk – Diabetes In Control
Posted: September 29, 2020 at 10:56 pm
The case for expanding screening for pancreatic cancer in those with new onset of diabetes and weight loss.
Pancreatic cancer is a major cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide due to a lack of effective screening and resistance to chemotherapy. It is also difficult to diagnose during the early stages due to the lack of distinct symptoms. Symptoms associated with pancreatic cancer typically include weight loss, fatigue, jaundice, abdominal pain, and nausea and can be associated with many other conditions. The location of the pancreas also makes it difficult for physicians to see during routine physical exams. Therefore, diagnosis is generally made at advanced stages when it has already affected other organs such as the lungs, liver, and lymph nodes. Pancreatic cancer is commonly known as Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma. There is a 5-year survival rate in the United States. Unfortunately, no screening test has been shown to lower the risk of dying from this cancer. However, radiologists, gastroenterologists, surgeons, pathologists, and genetic counselors work together to find new tests to detect pancreatic cancer early. Currently, the most common tests used are endoscopic ultrasound or MRI.
A high body mass index or obesity has been associated with pancreatic cancer for many years. Diabetes, along with weight changes, has recently been associated with an increased risk of pancreatic cancer....

Cortisol and Weight Gain: Is There a Connection? – Healthline
Posted: September 29, 2020 at 10:56 pm
Cortisol is one of the many hormones produced in your body which serve as chemical messengers.
While commonly referred to as the stress hormone due to its role in your bodys stress response, it has a number of other important functions.
Some people wonder if cortisol levels have an influence on body weight.
This article details the potential effect of cortisol on weight gain, including some ways to reduce its levels in your body.
Cortisol is an important steroid hormone that belongs to a class of hormones called glucocorticoids.
Its produced in the adrenal glands found just above your kidneys.
In addition to aiding in your bodys stress response, its other roles include (1, 2, 3, 4):
Cortisol is generally released in close relation with your bodys circadian rhythm with 5060% of it being released with 3040 minutes of waking, and levels then falling throughout the day (5).
Its production and release is regulated by your pituitary gland and the hypothalamus located in your brain.
During times of increased stress, cortisol and adrenaline are released from your adrenal glands. This triggers an increase in heart rate and energy levels, preparing your body for a potentially harmful situation.
While this response is normal, continued elevations in cortisol can lead to negative side effects.
Cortisol is a necessary hormone with important functions in your body, which include increasing blood sugar, reducing inflammation, suppressing the immune system, and aiding in nutrient metabolism.
Among the numerous factors influencing your body weight, hormone regulation is an important one.
While hormones such as cortisol are usually kept within a tight range by your bodys endocrine system, there are certain situations in which they can become low or elevated.
Small rises in cortisol levels in response to stress are normal and not likely to cause negative side effects.
Yet, in certain instances, cortisol levels may remain chronically elevated.
This is usually due to stress or a condition like Cushings syndrome, which causes blood levels of cortisol to remain high (6).
When cortisol levels remain elevated, the following side effects may occur (7):
When under chronic stress, it may be difficult to maintain healthful eating habits.
One study in 59 healthy women found an association between elevated cortisol levels and an increase in appetite, which could potentially promote weight gain (8).
In addition, another study found an association between a higher cortisol response and a higher amount of belly fat in a group of 172 men and women, suggesting that higher cortisol may lead to overeating (9).
That said, levels of stress and cortisol arent always directly related, thus more data is needed to establish a direct relationship (10).
Just as high cortisol levels may cause weight gain, low levels may cause weight loss in some instances.
The most extreme example is in Addisons disease, a condition in which your body doesnt produce enough cortisol (11, 12).
The most notable symptoms of low cortisol include (13):
While high cortisol levels may seem more common, its important to be aware of the effects of low cortisol as well.
Chronically elevated cortisol levels may promote overeating and weight gain, whereas low cortisol levels may lead to weight loss in some instances. Still, more research is needed.
While there may be many stressors in your life potentially contributing to elevated cortisol, there are several effective methods for managing your levels and preventing or combating weight gain.
One of the main ways to combat weight gain is to engage in regular physical activity.
Regular exercise has been associated with a reduction in stress levels and allows you to be more resilient when stressors present themselves (14, 15, 16).
One study in 3,425 participants who reported emotional eating found an association between their level of physical activity and BMI (body mass index) (17).
Whats more, exercising stimulates the release of endorphins, which are feel-good chemicals that promote happiness and can help manage stress (18).
Regular physical activity can also promote weight loss or weight management due to the calories burned while exercising (19, 20).
Another powerful tool for managing weight gain due to stress is practicing mindful, or intuitive, eating.
Mindfulness comes from a Buddhist concept meaning to be fully present and aware of what youre doing at a given moment (21).
Mindful eating applies this concept to food, encouraging you to be fully aware of your eating experience, including specific cues, such as hunger, fullness, taste, and texture (21, 22).
One large cross-sectional study found an association between the practice of intuitive eating and a lower body weight (23).
A simple way to start practicing mindful eating is to do away with distractions at meals, allowing you to be fully aware of hunger and fullness cues.
If youre curious about mindful eating but dont know where to start, check out our free 21-day mindful eating challenge.
Another potential way to deal with weight gain that could be related to high cortisol levels is to speak with a qualified practitioner, such as a psychologist or registered dietitian.
A therapist can assist you in coming up with some strategies to reduce overall stress, which in turn may help you manage emotional eating (24).
On the other hand, a dietitian can provide nutrition education to equip you with the tools you need to make more healthful decisions surrounding food.
The dual-prong approach to improving your food habits and emotional well-being is an excellent step in preventing or combating weight gain.
Sleep is a commonly overlooked variable that has a significant effect on cortisol levels and potential weight gain.
Disruptions to your sleep pattern whether chronic or acute can promote an unhealthy increase in cortisol levels (25).
Over time, this can have a negative effect on your metabolism and cause an increase in certain hormones related to hunger and appetite, potentially leading to weight gain (26, 27, 28).
Therefore, ensuring that youre getting adequate sleep each night can go a long way toward maintaining healthy cortisol levels.
The general recommendation for sleep is 79 hours per night, though this varies by age and other factors (29).
Yet another potential tool for managing cortisol levels is meditation.
The purpose of meditation is to train your mind to focus and redirect your thoughts.
While several types of meditation exist, the most commonly practiced ones are mindful, spiritual, focused, movement, mantra, and transcendental.
Regardless of which you choose, practicing meditation has been associated with a reduction in cortisol levels in various populations (30, 31).
In addition, meditation may even help improve the quality of your sleep (32).
There are numerous ways to help reduce cortisol levels and combat potential weight gain. The most effective methods include exercising, practicing mindful eating, ensuring sufficient sleep, and practicing meditation.
Cortisol is an important adrenal hormone that serves many essential functions in your body, including controlling your blood sugar, reducing inflammation, and regulating your metabolism.
Slight elevations in cortisol in response to stress are normal, though when levels remain chronically elevated, side effects may occur one being weight gain.
That said, there are several effective methods to preventing or combating weight gain, such as exercising, meditating, or seeking guidance from a dietitian.

The first phase of the diet involves eating only 1000 calories a day and drinking green juice. Carnivore diet: Definition, benefits, and risks – Medical News Today
Posted: September 29, 2020 at 10:56 pm
People who follow the carnivore diet eat only meat and other animal-based foods.
This article reviews the foods that are allowed in the carnivore diet and explains how to follow the diet, including a 5-day sample menu.
It also reviews the risks and drawbacks of the diet and asks whether or not it has any benefits.
The carnivore diet consists almost exclusively of animal-based foods, such as meat, fish, eggs, and low lactose dairy. A person following the diet may also use honey, salt, pepper, and zero-carb seasonings.
Other foods such as fruits and vegetables, grains, high lactose dairy, sugars, and plant-based oils are completely excluded from the carnivore diet.
Similar meat-heavy diets, such as ketogenic and Paleolithic diets, limit carbohydrates but do not exclude them altogether.
Dietitians often refer to such diets as low carb, high fat (LCHF) diets, whereas they would categorize the carnivore diet as an animal-sourced foods (ASF) diet.
The carnivore diet is based on the controversial theory that human ancestors long ago ate diets rich in meat. It assumes that human bodies function best when fueled by high levels of protein and fat.
One high profile advocate of the carnivore diet is Shawn Baker, a former orthopedic surgeon.
On his website, he shares some success stories of followers of the carnivore diet. They claim that the diet has benefits such as weight loss, better health, and pain reduction.
However, there is no scientific evidence to back up any of these claims.
In 2017, the New Mexico Medical Board revoked Bakers medical license, citing concerns about his competency.
Advocates of the carnivore diet claim that it has numerous health benefits and helps optimize the bodys natural functions.
Its proponents claim that it can improve:
Many people who decide to try the carnivore diet want to lose weight.
According to an article in the European Journal of Nutrition, low carb diets work on the principle that reduced blood sugar levels cause the body to enter a state of ketosis, or fat burning. This is thought to lead to weight loss.
However, it may be that the carnivore diet works for weight loss in the same way that many other diets do by excluding certain unhealthful foods.
Because the carnivore diet excludes carbs, followers should not eat unhealthful foods such as cakes, pastries, fries, or cookies.
Any healthful eating plan will advise against eating calorie dense foods such as these, which have very little nutritional value.
Cutting them out is likely to encourage weight loss and overall health gains, regardless of whether or not a person follows an animal-based diet.
The restrictive nature of the carnivore diet leaves entire food groups out of a persons diet, thereby excluding most of the vitamins, minerals, and micronutrients they provide.
Vegetables, fruits, and grains contain fiber, which is essential for healthy digestion. Research has found that dietary fiber can also protect against colon cancer and colorectal adenoma.
According to some other research, eating red meat and processed meat is associated with an increased risk of coronary artery disease and diabetes.
A further health risk may stem from the type of meat that a person eats.
For example, some meats are high in saturated fat, which can raise cholesterol levels in the blood. Research has found that eating a lot of saturated fat over the long-term can increase a persons risk of coronary heart disease.
For people with chronic kidney disease (CKD), following a high protein diet might be especially damaging.
Studies have suggested that limiting protein intake in people with CKD can slow the progression of the condition and delay the need for dialysis therapy.
Limiting variety in the diet could also be particularly dangerous for pregnant or lactating people, whose nutritional needs are unlikely to be met by an ASF diet.
Other unpleasant side effects of ASF and LCHF diets include constipation, headaches, bad breath, and flatulence.
Followers of the carnivore diet vary in what they allow themselves to eat. The core rule of the diet is that a person can only consume foods from animal sources.
At one end of the spectrum, some people eat one type of meat only. At the other end, people include a variety of meat and certain dairy products in their diet.
The following sections will look at which foods to include and which foods to avoid.
A person following the carnivore diet might consume:
Some followers also consume salt, pepper, and other seasonings that do not contain carbs.
Honey is not allowed in a strict carnivore diet, but some proponents include it because it comes from an animal source, despite being high in glucose.
Any foods that do not come from animal sources are excluded from the carnivore diet. These include:
For people who wish to try the carnivore diet, here is a 5-day sample menu:
The carnivore diet may be popular, but it is an extremely restrictive eating regimen with no scientifically supported benefits.
It may produce fast results such as weight loss, but many people will probably find it difficult to stick to over the long-term.
Excluding entire food groups as part of the carnivore diet might lead to malnutrition.
People interested in trying a high protein diet may want to consider a Paleolithic and ketogenic diet instead.
Proponents of these diets claim that the benefits are similar to those of a purely carnivorous diet. Paleolithic and ketogenic diets also have fewer restrictions and have several potential science-backed health benefits.

Woman reveals intermittent fasting is the ‘easiest way’ she’s ever lost weight without trying – 7NEWS.com.au
Posted: September 29, 2020 at 4:55 am
My quarantine weight went in the opposite direction.
Yep, somehow during lockdown, I managed to lose weight instead of gain it. How on earth did that happen?
I stumbled into intermittent fasting.
This eating pattern has gained traction in the last few years, but it never grabbed my attention because, frankly, it sounded awful.
Skip meals - what? Why would I ever want to do that?
Well, a growing body of research suggests the benefits of intermittent fasting are numerous.
It turned out to be the easiest way Ive ever lost weight.
It didnt start on purpose.
I found myself without an appetite from worry in the early days of the pandemic, so Id skip breakfast and sometimes lunch, then eat when I got hungry again.
Sound unhealthy?
When I spoke with Dr Mark Mattson, a neuroscientist and expert on intermittent fasting and co-author of a recent New England Journal of Medicine article on its benefits, he explained that its actually only relatively recently that humans began eating three meals a day.
Prior to the agricultural revolution, he explained, humans couldnt store food in the way we do now that enables us to graze and snack 24/7.
I rarely weigh myself, so I didnt realise what was happening until my pants grew looser.
Intrigued, I started looking more into intermittent fasting, as its sometimes called, and fell down the rabbit hole.
Since it had seemed so easy, I decided to continue it with purpose, choosing to fast from dinner until any time between noon and dinnertime again the next day, depending on how I felt.
Another approach to fasting involves eating normally five days a week and limiting calories to about 500 on two non-consecutive days.
In the space of a couple of months, Id lost about 6.8kg (based on the last time Id been weighed at the doctors office) with my intermittent fasting plan.
I dialled back the number of long fasting days but continued to skip breakfast, and another two kilos eventually came off, bringing me down two clothing sizes to the size Ive been most of my life - when I havent let the weight creep up on me like I had in the year leading up to this, that is.
I kept wondering why I never knew how easy this could be.
Was I hungry? Sure. But not hangry, and that I could handle.
Ive tried - and hated - calorie counting in the past.
This was dead simple; when it was time to eat I ate until I was full, mostly avoiding empty white flour carbs and processed food.
If I got too hungry, I skipped fasting.
It grew easier with time, which is typical, Mattson said. If people are going to adapt, it takes about a month to adjust.
Why was this so wildly effective? And is intermittent fasting healthy? It boils down to several factors.
Even though weight loss isnt as simple as calories in, calories out, Samantha Cassetty, a registered dietitian based in New York City, said that just by virtue of only eating once a day on fasting days, I was still consuming fewer calories.
Those meals, especially the first few months, were also almost exclusively prepared at home, away from restaurants where she noted portions are bigger, and theres just no way to know how much fat and sugar is in a dish.
But unlike a more typical diet of reducing calories at each meal, I was also changing my eating pattern, reducing the size of the window when Id eat.
Through this change, something more than simple calorie maths is going on.
When we eat, the energy from the food is stored in our livers in the form of glucose, Mattson explained.
The liver holds about 700 calories of that glucose, and with normal daily activity, will burn through about 70 calories an hour.
That means if we are eating every few hours and snacking between meals, we never burn through all of it.
Fast for longer than 10 to 12 hours, though, Mattson said, and the body switches from burning glucose to burning fat.
Thats the magic moment, as I understand it.
The fat cells go into the liver where theyre converted to ketones.
That switch, Mattson said, from glucose to ketones, is what will allow people and animals to survive for days or longer without food.
As far as weight loss its pretty simple, Mattson said.
If people are overweight that excess weight is fat, and if they do intermittent fasting, then they will use up fat during the fasting period.
As long as they dont overeat ... theyll lose weight.
Intermittent fasting shows other benefits as well.
The most intriguing to me was that the mild stress it places on cells is analogous to the stress exercise puts on muscle cells.
Having been subjected to that mild stress the cells change in ways that help them become stronger and resist more severe types of stress, Mattson said.
It sounds like a no brainer. If you can handle being hungry a few hours a day, why not do it?
Well, its not for everyone. And there can be drawbacks.
Theres a high dropout rate to this pattern of eating, Cassetty said.
For some, prolonging a period of not eating can make people feel very tortured, hungry and distracted, and it doesnt promote productivity, energy, vitality and all those wonderful feelings, she said.
There can also be missed social opportunities, such as dining with family and friends.
And if youre exercising, theres a concern you may not be refuelling your body adequately to repair broken down muscle tissue, she said.
For older folks in particular, she added, its critical to replenish protein stores so the body can go into its maintenance and repair mode at night.
But if youre a healthy person and want to give it a try, its OK to experiment, said Cassetty.
However, she also added, if you have any health conditions you need to talk to a doctor before you do this.
A 12-hour eating window is a good place for most people to start, Cassetty said.
And if you want to take it a step further, try a 16-hour fasting window on a weekend when you might be sleeping through more of the fast.
But Cassetty also emphasised that fasting isnt an excuse to throw good nutrition out the window.
It remains important to fill your plate with non-starchy vegetables, whole grains, lean protein and healthy fats.
And if its a success? Sorry, but theres really no off switch.
Maintaining the weight loss means continuing intermittent fasting.
For me, at least, knowing that its relatively easy to do means thats not a concern.
Through this change Ive set up some structure, essentially eliminating snacking.
Ive become much more in touch with my bodys signals, learning when Im actually hungry and when Im grabbing food just to have it.
I dont feel deprived because I know if Im actually hungry Ill eat, and Ill eat well.

Most celebs sign up for Dancing With the Stars with one very sparkly goal in mind: the coveted Mirrorball Trophy. However, thanks to the rigorous training involved in learning new dance routines week after week, many contestants wind up waltzing their way to major weight loss along the way.
Of course, its not as simple as joining the show and automatically dropping pounds. These celebs put in serious time, effort, and sweat into training for those short performances you end up watching on TV. Former contestant Amy Purdy shared with the Los Angeles Times that contestants get their music on Tuesdays and then pretty much rehearse straight through until their performance on Mondays.
Everyone is dancing every day, building right up until Mondays/show days, when you arrive on the set at about 7 a.m. and you are there all day and all night, she said. Then last night we had dance practice after the show until midnight. Then we all start our routines for next week today. Its exhausting, but its also a total blast.
With all that dancing, its only natural that a few LBs will drop in the process. While plenty of stars have talked about firming up during their time on DWTS, these 26 celebrities saw major changes in their bodies during their time competing on the show. From Lauren Alaina losing 25 pounds to Kirstie Alley losing a whopping 100 pounds, the fitness gains and weight loss goals achieved on Dancing with the Stars are nothing short of impressive.
