The Best Workout Headphones of 2020 – GearJunkie
Posted: January 9, 2020 at 7:51 am
These earbuds and headphones will keep you humming at the gym or on the trails.
Music and workouts go hand in hand. Taking the occasional break to listen to your body is great advice, but the bulk of runs and gym sessions use music to motivate or distract. And then theres that ever-growing queue of podcasts to binge.
To find the best workout headphones and earbuds, we spent hours listening to music and podcasts during stationary workouts and long runs. Sweat and the occasional icy drizzle were kept at bay by varying degrees of weatherproofing. (The industry has made great strides in this area, and any serious exercise earbud should offer waterproof ratings of IPX7 going forward, as they also keep out dirt and grime.)
And while there isnt a single best earbud for every user, weve broken this list into categories to help you find the best headphones for your particular workout style. From wireless earbuds to budget-friendly headphones, theres something for everyone.
A trail runner finds sage advice in a virtual-coaching program from iFit. It changed his view of what a session on a treadmill screen can do. Read more
Different buds and fins mean you can dial the fit on these truly wireless earbuds and appreciate their full sound comfortably during workouts and runs. The 5-hour battery life and 20 hours of backup in the charging case put these earbuds at the forefront of longevity.
Hefty construction and waterproofing make these durable enough for all kinds of outdoor workouts. We had a couple issues getting the Flash to quickly connect to Bluetooth when removed from the case, which is something we found other headphones did easily. But once connected, we didnt lose signal.
We appreciated the rich sound and strong bass. And the volume was plenty loud, even in a noisy gym environment. Its worth noting that some phones have a known issue of limiting volume via Bluetooth. If youre initially unimpressed with the sound level, try connecting to your computer or other device to diagnose the problem.
Battery: 5 hours + 20 hours from caseWeight:16 gPros:Big battery; durability; rich bass; fit optionsCons:Initial connectivity issues; can feel bulky

The Jaybird Vista wireless earbuds were quickly a favorite with a rich sound. Runners will like that these can be activated separately to allow for running with just one earbud. Prolonged use revealed some shortcomings in comfort and sound due to a less-dialed fit.
As our editor noted during review, At $180 [MSRP], the Jaybird Vista falls on the steep end of the price spectrum for the category. But for that price, the brand offers up some impressive performance in terms of audio quality, fit, and software features.
The Vista presents a great buy, but it does fall short when it comes to the clarity and quality of the wearers voice on phone calls and video chats.
Battery: 6 hours + 10 hours from caseWeight:12 gPros:Big battery; full sound; compact charge caseCons:Fewer fit options

Personalized sound, surprising battery life, and tracking capability all add huge value to Jaybird's truly wireless Vista headphones. But they come with a steep price and have a few shortcomings. Read more
These adjustable, wireless, in-ear buds can also be worn behind the ear when you need to be more aware of your surroundings. Theyre sweat-resistant (IPX5) and have magnetic buds to keep them together while stored.
The fit was comfortable, and we didnt have any problems with slippage. The sound isnt as rich as some higher-end headphones, but forjust 20 bucks theyre a great value.
Battery: 8 hoursWeight: 11 gPros:Sweatproof; inexpensive; tangle-resistantCons:Floppy cord

Anyone who prefers round earbuds will want to check these out before the Vistas. The 14-hour battery life means you dont have to worry about heading out for a long run. And the quality sound is great for workouts.
The magnetic snap is convenient for keeping cords tidy and for wearing around your neck when not in use. And while some wired earbuds flop annoyingly, the cinch on these makes for a comfortable, custom fit. Theres also an app that allows you to connect with the Jaybird community and find recommended playlists and podcasts.
Battery: 14 hoursWeight:21 g (with band)Pros:Big battery; waterproof; fabric cordCons:Priced like true wireless

Anyone who prefers over-ear Bluetooth headphones should consider this wireless pick. We like that theyre sweat-resistant and easy to clean. We found them comfortable after hours of use. And they offer up an impressive 18-hour battery life.
The sound wasnt as rich as some of our favorite earbuds, but overall its decent (especially considering the price). Our main complaint is one we have with every over-ear headphone: movement. During rigorous workouts, the Backbeat is prone to slippage.
But these work great for lifting weights, walking, or circuit training around the gym.
Battery: 18 hoursWeight:155 gPros:Budget-friendly; sweatproofCons:Heavier; can shift during extreme workouts

These bone-conducting headphones are a comfortable and safe option for outdoor pursuits. Instead of filling the ears with sound, they rest on the bone in front of the ear and conduct sound via vibration. It seems crazy, but it works. It allows for full enjoyment of music or podcasts while still being aware of whats happening on the trail or when biking or running around town.
We were able to comfortably wear them with glasses and a helmet. And at just a little over one ounce, they were light and easy to wear for long rides. The only time we noticed any vibration was at full volume. And because they dont fill the ear, they arent noise-canceling. But you can pair them with earplugs to achieve full noise cancelation.
Battery: 6 hoursWeight: 30 gPros:Easy fit; situational awareness; ambient soundsCons:OK sound; vibrations at high volume

The Elite Active 65t are proven earbuds that have come down in price. These lightweight, truly wireless earbuds connect out of the case and automatically pause sound when removed from the ear. We also like that the volume is easily adjusted on the side of the left earbud.
The sound was solid but not as good as our top picks. Our big complaint was that their midrange sound felt constrained and often tinny.
These are designed to fit farther in the ear and only use gels to secure a fit in the ear canal. While this is comfortable, it can leave them feeling less secure during vigorous workouts, though they never fell out during test runs.
Battery:5 hours + 15 from caseWeight:6 g eachPros:Lightweight; four microphones for voice callsCons: Tinny midrange

The Pro version of Apples wireless earbuds finally come with different-size silicone tips to seal the ear canal and ensure getting the most of the active noise-canceling qualities that adjust what you hear by monitoring surrounding sounds.
For workouts, transparency mode will help you keep aware of your environment. Its worth noting, though, that these are only sweatproof (IPX4). At $250 MSRP, you better hope you never get stuck in the rain and that Apple has fixed issues with the long-term life of its earbuds.
Battery: 4.5 hours + 24 with wireless caseWeight:5.4 gPros:Adjustable fit; great sound; noise cancelation; headset featuresCons: Pricey; questionable long-term battery life
Shop Now
These are a great value for truly wireless, sweatproof earbuds. Plus, they boast an impressive battery life. There can be frustrating issues with connecting both earbuds to Bluetooth. And the sound quality lags in comparison to other earbuds in the category. While these are decent earbuds, wed generally spend a little more or search for better models on sale.
Battery: 7 hours + 28 hours in caseWeight: 11 gPros:Sweatproof; single-use earbuds; call qualityCons:Subpar sound and connectivity
Shop Now
For our ratings, we prioritized the interrelated factors of fit and comfort, which ultimately affect sound quality. An improper fit will likely create a muffled, underwater sound.
Features like phone calls arent factors for workouts we hope though, for the price, youll want to use these beyond exercise. Other important features were those that added to functionality and safety, like dropping sound quickly to hear your surroundings.
The first goal of fit is to keep the earbuds in the ear. The stems of in-ear headphones wedge into the ear canal while a fin or wing tucks into (the concha part of) the outer ear to prevent lateral movement.
Getting a great fit is crucial to both comfort and sound quality. Most earbuds come with smaller and larger tips and fins, and we advise trying those out no matter how well the default options fit out of the box.
Wired headphones have been around for generations and are now included with most smartphones. For many, these work fine, but an athletes sweat can quickly gunk up the wires if they dont snag one on gym equipment or a branch first.
Once you experience the freedom of wireless earbuds, subtracting an annoyance may prove worth the expense. The truly wireless versions tend to be favorites for workouts. Though some runners prefer banded wireless earbuds for the peace of mind in knowing that if an earbud falls out mid-run, its still within reach.
In general, truly wireless earbuds have a (slightly) shorter battery life, though this gap is closing. Battery life and accessory apps are where companies are making the most advances. Updated versions of existing product lines are gaining hours of use (extended as well by charging cases) and offering personalized EQs to create customized sounds.
At this point, those are nice additions, but all the earbuds we reviewed have sufficient battery life for a decent marathon time, and charging them is easy.
We put these headphones through a series of exercises to test for comfort and, of course, to see if theyd fall out. We even chewed gum during workouts to change the shape of the jaw and ear.
Some fit better, and feel better, than others during the constant jostling of runs, while they all performed well during workouts including burpees, which jostle the head at different angles.
To test the waterproofing, we walked and ran with these during misty and rainy days. Back at home, we sprayed them with a mist of water to check for any loss in audio quality. We found proper fit had more to do with the sound than any exterior element.

How to choose a 2020 diet based on science – Inverse
Posted: January 9, 2020 at 7:48 am
If youre like 50 percent of American adults, youve tried to slim down in the past year. Many people search for a shortcut to dropping pounds, and although some studies show dieting doesnt lead to long term weight loss, certain diets do seem to enable weight loss safely and quickly. One diet thats done the trick for thousands of people is the ketogenic diet.
Eating keto involves replacing carbohydrates with lots of fat and moderate levels of protein. However this isnt a free pass to load your plate with salami or cheese. Instead, a healthy keto diet includes lots of greens, olive oil, nuts, and some fish. The dietary approach kickstarts a biological process called ketogenesis, where the body burns fat for fuel, not its usual favorite energy source, glucose.
Some studies suggest that the keto diet is more effective at helping obese individuals lose weight than a low-fat diet. However, long term data on the mental and physiological impacts of going keto are missing. Physicians have cautioned against drastically cutting carbs and eating so much fat especially saturated fat noting that the diet could lead to nutritional deficiencies or threaten heart health.
Furthermore, people may lose weight in the short term but whether they keep it off in the long term isnt clear. Due to its nutritional drawbacks and unsustainability, the keto diet landed second to last on U.S. News diet ranking of the best diets overall. But it was ranked number three when it came to best fast weight-loss diets.
Despite the risks and restrictions, the diet is soaring in popularity.
Part of the reason why its become so popular is that theres this almost evangelical quality to the people that get on it, Ethan Weiss, a cardiologist at the University of California, San Francisco, and founder of Keyto, a company manufacturing breathalyzers to monitor ketone levels, told Inverse in July.
Its almost like people have felt they have discovered the fountain of youth, and they want to share it with everybody. Thats very unusual in weight loss.

Results Fitness Stands Out with High-Def Exercise Videos and Supportive Online CommunityEL DORADO HILLS, Calif.-January 8, 2020- (Newswire.com)
American businessmen and women take over 405 million long-distancebusiness trips per year. This massive on-the-go group has a common challenge though: finding ways to stay fit while on the road. Now, the creators of the new Results Fitness app are out to change all that with their all-in-one exercise and personal training program that features high-def videos.
Results Fitness offers a free or subscription-based program aimed at adults who want to lose weight and gain muscle, especially while traveling. The apps full library of 4K videos is updated monthly and incorporates hundreds of exercises along with demonstrations of how to safely perform those for maximum benefit. The program is complemented by an interactive motivational blog that provides fitness tips and education along with the opportunity for users to share their results. Subscribers can also form private groups so friends can exercise together, challenge each other and perform custom-built workouts.
Our health is our wealth. Results Fitness is all about providing busy people with a way to stay in shape no matter where they are so they have no excuses for avoiding a workout. Our app gives users of every fitness level the tools they need to stay fitness-focused with engaging exercise videos and demos, a community of supporters, and more, explained Derek Anderson, who has been a personal trainer for 12 years. In that time, he has helped hundreds of individuals, including athletes, to lose weight, put on muscle and prevent injury through his programs.
Anderson was motivated to develop the app because he saw the challenges that many of his clients faced when traveling for work and pleasure. He regularly prepared routines for them to use while they were away so they would not lose progress but could not find an app on the market that he could recommend.
My job as a trainer is to ensure my clients have everything they need to succeed long-term in reaching and maintaining their health and fitness goals. There was not an app on the market that I believed provided the variety of exercises, instruction necessary to avoid injury, and personal support to aid them when away from home - so I created one, said Anderson. I am especially proud to know that I am able to support the health needs of a broad audience through the apps easy-to-access training tools and guidance.
Since its launch in October, Results Fitness is getting all 5-star reviews online, with customers calling out the app for its ease-of-use, content variety, affordability and effectiveness. And while Anderson says that the program was created with the unique challenges of travelers in mind, its customers are, in fact, using the app at home and the gym as well as on the road.
I set out to build a program that is accessible to everyone, gives them the results they are looking for and is fun. Results Fitness does all that, and I am excited to see how many people are starting the year off right by downloading our app, he added.
Results Fitness is available for free or by a $4.99 per month subscription and is available for Android in the Google Play store. For more information, go to resultsfitnessapp.com. For media inquiries, contact:Derek Anderson at[emailprotected].

Weight loss surgery involves removing part of the stomach, which can lead to hormonal changes – FOX 2 Detroit
Posted: January 9, 2020 at 7:47 am
Countless diets and meal plans exist to help you lose weight, but for some surgery seems like the only option.
That was the case for Jackie Paige. She was part of the FOX 2 News Morning family for many years. And for many of those years, she struggled with her weight.
Her life completely changed when she finally decided on weight loss surgery.
While diets and exercise can help you lose weight, surgery may be the best option for some. That was the case for Jackie Page, formally a part at FOX 2 and now an anchor at WWJ 950.
"It was the best decision I ever made for myself," she tells us. "I needed to reset the mechanism. You have a 6-week time period where you are very, very limited in what and how much you can eat, and I really needed that. It retrained my taste buds, it retrained my brain."
In March 2017 she had what's now considered one of the most common weight loss surgery, called the gastric sleeve.
About 70 percent of the stomach is removed, taking the stomach from round to more of a narrow sleeve.
Beaumont bariatric surgeon Kevin Krause explains this surgery leads to dramatic hormonal changes.
"What we've learned over time is that surgery has a bunch of hormonal changes. They change appetite, they change blood-sugar metabolism and so all these things really impact weight loss, not just the food consumption," he says.
Are there risks? Yes, it is surgery. But it's also proven to be the best route for longterm weight loss and beyond.
"A little over 85 percent of people are going to be successful in both achieving initial weight loss and maintaining it over time. It has tremendous health benefits in terms of medical conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, back, and arthritic problems," Krause says.
Now, you hear Jackie's voice. She's a news anchor on WWJ News Radio. When you see her, she's 125 pounds lighter. She's a new person.
She ran her first half marathon and is still committed to working out and eating right every single day.
"It's really about what you think you can and you can't do. So many of us are limited when we are overweight; we think that we are limited by that. We think the weight makes it so we can't live our lives. But running a marathon, having the surgery, doing things like that you realize it's mind over matter and you can do whatever you want to do. You really can," Jackie says.
Interestingly, most people who qualify for weight loss surgery choose not to do it. Keep in mind if you're 80 lbs. or more pounds overweight, you might be a candidate.
You can do research on the pros and cons at http://www.beaumont.org/weight.

10 Biggest Weight Loss Myths Youre Still Hearing in 2020, According to Experts – Prevention.com
Posted: January 9, 2020 at 7:47 am
Losing weight is tough under the best circumstances, but it can be especially tricky when youve got do this and do that advice coming at you from all angles. Whether youre digging through the internet or talking to friends, it can be tough to separate fact from fiction, especially because weight loss is so dependent on individual needs and goals.
So, to make getting started a bit easier, we went to experts to debunk the fear around fat, your desire to ditch gluten, and whether or not breakfast really is the most important meal of the day. Here, the biggest weight loss rules you should stop believing ASAP.
1Myth #1: Eating fat makes you fat.
Fat has more calories per gram than carbs and protein, and that might be where this myth came from, says Jessica Cording, M.S., R.D., author of The Little Book of Game-Changers. But, she adds, fat actually helps you stay fuller, longer. When you consume fat in the context of a balanced meal or snack thats appropriate for your calorie needs, it can actually promote weight loss and weight maintenance, Cording says. This includes healthy, unsaturated fats like avocado, olive oil, and nuts.
Of course, if you eat a bunch of fat outside your needs, you will gain weight, says Carolyn Newberry, M.D., a gastroenterologist at NewYork-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medicine. But fat is an important component of a healthy diet and moderate amounts of fat intake are necessary to build cells, maintain warmth, and provide energy to the body, she says.
2Myth #2: All calories are equal.
Knowing how many calories youre eating is important when youre trying to lose weight, but so is the type of calories youre having. A calorie is not just a calorie, Cording says. Macronutrients like protein, fat, and carbohydrates do different things in the body and have different functions, she says. We need a combination of them for the body to function optimally. Two hundred calories of white bread will make you feel very different than if you have 200 calories of whole wheat toast with almond butter.
3Myth #3: Carbs are bad for you.
Just like fat, carbohydrates are an important part of a healthy diet. In moderation, they provide the body with its main source of energy as well as regulate the digestive tract, Dr. Newberry says.
Its important to note that there are different types of carbs: simple and complex. Simple carbs include things like processed foods, and they can raise your blood sugar and lead to weight gain if you have too much of them, Dr. Newberry explains. Complex carbs, on the other hand, are found in nutrient-dense foods like whole grain breads, beans and legumes, oats, and certain vegetables, and can actually help regulate your blood sugar levels.
Its not that all carbs are bad, but you do need to tune into whats an appropriate amount for you and the quality of those carbohydrates, Cording says.
RELATED: 12 High-Carb Foods You Should Be Eating More
4Myth #4: Eating at night will make you gain weight.
Cording says this one comes up with her clients all the time. There are people that can be okay with stopping eating more than a few hours before bed, but for many people its a struggle mentally and physically because they get hungry, she says. They often attempt to have their last meal early in the evening but wind up doing mindless snacking or sneak foods because theyre trying to not be hungry.
A lot of it also depends on what youre eating. Late-night eating patterns have been linked to excess calorie intake and poorer food choices, Newberry says. But, if youre eating healthy, well-balanced foods in the evening, you should be just fine.
5Myth #5: You can out-exercise a bad diet.
Exercise is an important part of weight loss, but you can easily torpedo your efforts by eating foods high in calories and low in nutrition, like processed snacks, fried meats, and sugary drinks.
It is very hard to overcome a poor diet with exercise, as you can only burn so many calories at a time, Dr. Newberry says.
Eating junk foods also isnt fueling your body with the nutrients it needs for balanced energy, Cording points out. If youre eating certain foods that wreak havoc on your hormones, it will probably negatively impact your energy and ability to work out, she says.
6Myth #6: Supplements can help you lose weight.
Despite claims online that certain supplements will help you lose weight, theres no data to suggest these things consistently workand keep weight off, Dr. Newberry says. Supplements also arent regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), she points out, so you cant always be sure that youre actually taking what it says on the label.
Its also important to note that weight loss supplements are different from prescribed weight loss medications, which a doctor may or may not recommend for obese patients who have already started making lifestyle changes.
7Myth #7: Eating breakfast is necessary for weight loss.
Eating breakfast does not automatically lead to success in weight loss efforts, Dr. Newberry says. Eating in the morning might help curb your appetite to keep you from overeating later in the day, but it still comes down to the number and type of calories eaten in relation to the total number of calories burned over the same period of time, she says.
Cording agrees. Some people just arent into breakfast, and thats okay, she says.
8Myth #8: Going gluten-free will help you lose weight.
Just a recap: Gluten is a type of protein thats found in certain grains, like wheat, barely, and rye. Except for a small number of people who have Celiac disease, gluten itself is not dangerous and is found in many healthy foods which also contain high levels of fiber, vitamins, and minerals, Dr. Newberry says.
You might even gain weight on a gluten-free diet, depending on what you end up eating. Many processed gluten-free products actually contain higher levels of fats and sugars than their gluten-containing counterparts in order to improve taste and consistency, Dr. Newberry points out.
9Myth #9: Doing lots of cardio is the only way to burn fat.
Logging tons of time running or cycling can help you burn fatbut its not the only way, especially if you hate those exercises. Plus, research has shown that doing strength training is pretty important, too, Cording points out.
For example, a study published in the journal Obesity followed 249 adults with overweight or obesity who restricted calories and did resistance training for 18 months. The result? They had less muscle loss and also lost a significant amount of fat. Not only does building muscle make you look toned, but it also fires up your metabolism and helps you burn more calories at rest.
Plus, the benefits of strength training go beyond weight loss: Aiming to lift weights at least twice a week can protect your bones, improve your posture, and reduce back pain.
RELATED: The Best Strength Training Equipment for Home Workouts
10Myth #10: Food that tastes good is bad for you.
Nope. Healthy food can be delicious, Cording says. She cites seasonal vegetables that are at their prime flavor and naturally sweet fruits as an example.
Low-fat dairy products and lean proteins like beans, nut butters, and seafood also fit the bill, Dr. Newberry says. Dont believe us? Check out these healthy meal prep recipes that actually taste amazing.

At first I thought #Adele was Sarah Paulson, shared one user, comparing the singer to the American Horry Story actress.
Emily Blunt spotted filming the #Adele biopic in Anguilla yesterday, joked another, referring to the British actress.
However, many expressed their disappointment that Adele was trending on social media for her weight loss, not for releasing a new album. Adeles last record, titled 25, was released in 2015.
Thought this was an album release, dreams have never been crushed so fast, one user tweeted.
So we trending Adele again and its not about her releasing an album?! shared another. Whose [sic] the person behind this? I just want to talk .. just want to talk.

In October, the singer showed off her slimmer figure at rapper Drakes birthday party.
A source told Us Weekly the Oscar winner has dropped about 20 pounds from a mix of cardio, circuit training and Pilates.
The insider noted, She really wants to be healthy and set a good example for her son. Shes more focused on feeling good and the health benefits than the weight loss.

The sum includes $20 million in venture capital from investors such as New Hampshire-based Novalis LifeSciences and Boston-based Romulus Capital. It also includes a $14 million growth capital term loan from Bridge Bank that Allurions chief executive said was a vote of confidence in its product, a polyurethane balloon that stays in a patients stomach for four months.
This funding allows us to continue growing at a very fast pace, said Dr. Shantanu Gaur, the chief executive, who cofounded Allurion in 2009 with a fellow Harvard Medical School graduate after they realized that obesity was the common denominator in many diseases.
Allurion grew to 100 employees from 60 last year and invested $1.5 million in a new manufacturing plant in Natick. Its device has already won approval in Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and Asia, and the company has sold 20,000 of them in 25 countries since 2016.
The product, called the Elipse Balloon, is part of a wave of medical devices that have been developed in the Boston area and elsewhere to combat the worsening obesity epidemic.
During a 20-minute office visit to the doctor, a patient swallows a large capsule that contains a deflated polyurethane balloon attached to a thin catheter. The doctor then fills the balloon with about 2 cups of water and pulls the catheter out of the patients mouth.
The balloon sits in the stomach for four months, curbing appetite. Then it collapses and leaves the body the old-fashioned way.
In one of the largest gastric balloon data sets ever collected, 1,623 patients across 19 weight loss centers in seven countries lost, on average, 28 pounds after swallowing the Elipse, according to Allurion.
The company has tested the device on 416 patients in the United States and plans to seek clearance by the Food and Drug Administration this year based on the results, Gaur said.
If the FDA approves the device, a patient would have to pay about $4,000 out of pocket for the balloon as well as a smart scale that connects to an Allurion app, and for coaching by a nutritionist.
While the product would not be covered by health insurance, the cost is considerably less than for gastric-bypass surgery, which is covered by some insurers but not others, Gaur said.
Allurion had previously raised $36 million in venture capital.
Marijn Dekkers, the founder and chairman of Novalis LifeSciences and former chief executive of Bayer and Thermo Fisher Scientific, said Allurion is taking a cutting-edge approach to one of the worlds largest unmet medical needs.
A study published last month by the New England Journal of Medicine predicted that by 2030, nearly one in two adults in the United States will be obese. Obesity is defined as a body mass index of 30 or higher.

Posted: January 9, 2020 at 7:47 am
In addition to multiple health conditions that creep in with the extra kilos, one also has to battle body shaming and obnoxious comments of people. When 35-year-old Vishal Basutkar did not like how he looked in the mirror, he decided to take control of his health. His weight loss journey is the living, breathing proof that anything is possible if you have unwavering dedication. Read on.Name: Vishal Basutkar
Occupation: IT Professional
Age: 35 yearsCity: Pune
Highest weight recorded: 90 kgsCurrent weight: 73 kgsHeight: 5 feet 11 inches
Morning: I begin my day with a glass of lukewarm water and 8 almonds.
My Breakfast: Four eggs boiled eggs
My Lunch: Two chapatis, a portion of green vegetables, 1 bowl of curd and 1 bowl of dal.
Evening: 1 cup of green tea
My Dinner: I keep switching between salad and grilled paneer and cauliflower. I did not consume any food containing carbohydrates for six months and only ate proteins and vegetables for dinner.I indulge in: I made it a point to not eat any junk food like pizza, burger, chaats etc even on my cheat days.
Pre-workout Meal: I have a banana at least 30 minutes before working outMy Workout: Initially, for the first two months, I did a lot of cardio combined with High-Intensity Intervals Training (HIIT) for 6 days a week. I gained my stamina by doing cardio and HIIT and lost a considerable amount of fat.
After two months, I increased my duration of weight training. As my goal was to decrease my fat level and increase my muscle mass, I focused more on compound exercises like squats, military press, dead-lifts and chin-ups.
Post-workout Meal: Protein shakeLow-calorie recipe I swear by: Scrambled eggs with cheese and roasted cauliflower
Fitness secrets I unveiled :1) Eliminate sugar and refined flour (maida) from your diet2) Strictly count your calories3) There is no substitute for working outThe turning point: If you dont like your reflection in the mirror due to any reason, then its time to take control of your own body. While I wasn't really bothered by the rude comments or the incessant body-shaming, I really felt ashamed of my own reflection staring right back at me in the mirror.
It was also quite frustrating when I could no longer fit into the clothes of my choice in the wardrobe! I realized that I had to take the matter in my hands before it went beyond my control. That was the time I decided to work on my body and get it back on track. I will admit that it wasn't easy, but it was certainly worth it. Now when I look into the mirror, I feel really happy and proud of myself.
How do I stay motivated? I make it a point to read motivational quotes to keep myself on the path of fitness.
How do you ensure you don't lose focus? I am really scared of gaining back all the weight I have lost. What's the most difficult part of being overweight? It was really annoying when I could see my stomach bulging out with every passing day and I used to feel lethargic all the time. What shape do you see yourself 10 years down the line? After ten years, I want to remain fit and have a lean and muscular physique and be able to run 5 kilometres non-stop.

Last year, Kardashian was called out for promoting these types of unhealthy products, with actress Jameela Jamil weighing in at the time about how bad it is to push this stuff.
Kardashians followers werent impressed, tweeting comments such as: Youre better than this Khloe! and This is so toxic. Stop promoting this!
