Losing weight is a problem. Of course going to the gym, of course, makes the condition of the good good. The best exercise could have been swimming and its effect is always visible on my body. Although many people believe that swimming cannot be done in winter, but if you have a temperature-controlled pool, you can go swimming in every season. This causes weight loss quite quickly, but if you follow the right tips. So let's talk about these tips today.

Swim for at least 5 days - it will be better if you are more physically active. To lose weight, it is important that you maintain a routine. Exercise at least 4 or 5 days a week. If you do this then the body muscles will get used to staying the same.

Swimming faster and more vigorously - if you are new then this tip is not useful, but if you have done swimming before, then this tip will be very useful. It would be best for your body that you swim at high speed and exert more vigor. This makes the muscles of the bodywork more quickly. This also increases heart rate as well as your blood pressure, however, blood pressure becomes normal after the swimming routine is over and there is no better cardio than this. If you want, you can wear a waterproof fitness tracker that helps you while swimming.

After delivery eating this pulse is beneficial for women

Start slowly - If you have never done swimming then start from the first 15-20 minutes because it can also make you tired. Then slowly reach for 30 minutes. If you start immediately, then the energy of the body will end more quickly.

Keep changing your swimming routine- It is important to change the swimming routine. That is, if you swim in the same way, change it. That is, if you do freestyle swimming, try butterfly stroke. That would be better. In this case, changes in your body will happen more quickly.

Keep these points in mind while buying a sports bra

Use of morning time - Swimming may not be all ready to be done in the morning, but if you do swimming during morning exercise, it will make the most difference. Swim for a while without eating or drinking or taking an apple or a similar fruit. Swimming is not just cardio but it is an exercise that can lark out your entire body simultaneously. If the right strokes are made, up to 150 calories can be eliminated every 10 minutes.

Go to the swimming class -swimming can reduce your calories, but it will not tone your body. Therefore it is important that you learn all strokes so that your body toning can be done properly and at the same time it helps in reducing weight.

You will be shocked to know the scientific reason behind Goosebump

Mother-of-three, 32, who weighed more than her husband shed SEVEN STONE in a year – Stock Daily Dish

Posted: December 2, 2019 at 2:41 am

A mother-of-three has revealed how she shed seven stone in just a year after being shocked into action when she discovered she weighed more than her husband.

Desperately ashamed of her 19st 3lb size 22 bulk, Kelly Rothery, 32, from Leeds never stripped off in public and even avoided going out because she was so self-conscious.

But when Kelly, of Leeds, West Yorkshire, discovered she weighed five stone more than her husband, Charlie, 31, she knew it was time for drastic action.

It was two years ago and Charlie suggested we should both hop on the scales, but I wouldnt weight myself in front of him, so I waited until he left the room and then did it, she said.

I was so disgusted to see I weighed more than my husband that I knew I had to lose the weight.

Kelly now weight 12st 2lb and celebrated her weight loss by going swimming with her children for the first time.

Kelly, who has three children Max, nine, Alexis, seven, and Sydney, 18 months began battling her weight when she hit puberty aged 11, and sufferedcruel jibes from other schoolchildren.

The other kids would call me fatty and marshmallow, and it got so bad, I didnt want to go to school at all, she explained.

I became more and more isolated, as I lost all my confidence and I would do anything not to take my clothes off.

I hated gymnastics and always got my mum to write me a note so I wouldnt have to go swimming.

Kelly says she was the only one of her parents four children that struggled with managing their weight.

She continued: My mum would take me to the doctor because I was the only one with a weight problem and she was just so shocked.

I had blood tests, but they couldnt find anything wrong. The doctor said it was puppy fat and would just fall off, but it didnt.

Kelly who is a billing administrator for a telecom firm continued to gain weight after meeting her now ex-partner at age 17 and starting a family.

The weight just kept creeping on.

I think when youre a mum you struggle even more, because you have treats in the house for the kids, and hoover up after them.

Its a vicious cycle because you feel disgusted with yourself, lose your confidence, hide away, become more and more isolated and then comfort eat to make yourself feel better.

The 5ft 8in mother-of-three, was a single parent for a year when the relationship with her childrens father ended.

A friend put Kellys profile on a dating app which gave her the opportunity to meet Charlie.

She continued: It was so nice to meet someone who saw past my weight and ever since we met he has been so supportive.

But when youre dating you eat out and share boxes of chocolates, so that made it even harder to manage my weight.

Kelly became determined to change after discovering she was heavier than Charlie and turned to The Courthouse Clinic, in Wilmslow, Cheshire, in July 2018.

The consultants introduced Kelly to a new medically supervised weight loss and lifestyle programme called MediWeight. The plan, which is tailored to the individual, starts by replacing normal meals with high protein sachet meal substitutes.

Kelly took home five sweet and savoury sachet meals, including chilli, omelette and pizza, and was given a target intake of 800 calories a day.

She said: I was nervous and excited as I drove to my appointment that first Saturday morning.

I thought they would tell me I was too overweight and turn me down.

It did feel daunting at the start, but they give you all your meal substitutes, so all you have to do is stick to them and not cheat.

It is the easiest diet I have ever done, because youre not trying to work out what you can or cant eat yourself.

Breakfast: Cereal & Milk

Lunch: Salad Sandwich

Dinner: Meat, Veg, Chips

Snacks: Cereal Bar, Crisp or Chinese and Indian takeaway

Breakfast: Porridge or Fat Free Greek Yoghurt with fruit. Poached egg on wholemeal thin

Lunch: Chicken Salad

Dinner: Meat with veg

Snacks: Fruit, Nuts, Protein Bar

Seeing the weight drop off so quickly I lost 10lb in the first week and not go back on, was what kept me going.

I couldnt shop in trendy high street shops when I was fat. I would cry in the changing rooms, as it was so humiliating.

But once I lost the weight I could, so I went to River Island last summer and bought two tops and a pretty dress.

Kelly bought new swimwear and, for the first time ever, took all three of her children swimming when the family went to Tenerife on holiday at the beginning of 2019.

She continued: It was the first time I had worn a swimsuit in about three years.

On previous holidays I hid away in shirt dresses. Sometimes I even wore tights anything that would disguise my body.

But in Tenerife my kids loved me being in the water with them. We were swimming every day. It was lovely and so rewarding seeing them so happy.

Now a healthy size UK 14, Kelly revealed her weight loss has given her a new lease of life.

The bespoke diet plan cost her 250 a week and included weekly consultations, sachet meals and body contouring treatments to tighten the excess skin left behind by such dramatic and rapid weightloss.

The weight loss hasnt just given me back my life, it has helped me to find myself.

Id say to anyone who, like me, has had a long-term struggle with their weight you can do it, dont give up.

Even if you start and lapse, just start again because when you succeed it really will change your life.

I used to avoid the other mums at school when I dropped the kids off, because I was so embarrassed to be the fat mum. Now, I talk to them all, I go out a lot more.

The other night I put on a really clingy dress to go out to dinner with my husband and my youngest girl told me that I looked like a princess! Mummy you are so pretty, she said and this made me cry with happiness.

I am really proud of what I have done and how Ive got my life back.

Meet the Newcastle United fan who lost nine stones after squeezing through the turnstiles – Chronicle Live

Posted: December 2, 2019 at 2:41 am

When overweight Newcastle United fan Joe Jensen had to squeeze through the turnstiles to watch his team play, he realised he had to do something about his eating habits.

Stuffing down what ever he could Joe ballooned to 23 stone 8 lbs and was in XXXXL clothing.

Realising he needed to lose weight he joined the Man v Fat Football programme. Being signed up to a football team made of guys wanting to shed the flab, he was on a mission to get to his goal weight.

Now Joe has lost over nine stone and is down to 14 stone 4 lbs which allows him to now slide through the turnstiles with ease to watch the Magpies play.

Ive got to be honest and say that before MAN v FAT Football life was just normal ever since primary school Id always been overweight so it had become the norm. I didnt think about what I would eat or drink, I just bought it and ate it, said Joe, 32, of Newcastle.

Despite being massively overweight, morbidly obese to put it in medical terms, I was still moderately active but some activities when volunteering with the Scouts became more tricky and I had long since given up playing sport.

I had to shop at specialist big and tall ranges and might as well have had shares in one well known high street store for bigger guys. It really limited the choice of new clothes I could get and Id have to plan ahead by ordering online.

The call centre leader added: I cant point to one eureka or lightbulb moment when I made the crucial decision that things had to change. For me it was a combination of factors building up over time. Having to look at XXXXL clothes instead of XXXL as the weight was building, the guy on the turnstile at St James Park making a snide remark as I squeezed through, and feeling like I was going to collapse after getting an enthusiastically applauded rounder on a work charity day. I also had the holiday of a lifetime booked for six months time, so it seemed like an ideal time to make a change for the better.

Joe saw the Man V Fat Football on Facebook and decided to join up.

I had nothing to lose and despite previously playing quite regularly, I hadnt played football for years, said Joe.

It was nerve-racking signing up for it by myself but the league coach quickly got in touch and there was no looking back.

I turned up on registration night to a long queue leading to a set a scales. Had it not been for guys in the queue who were returning for the new season chatting to me I may have freaked, walked out and never returned. They were hugely supportive and before I had been registered and weighed I had a good idea of the rules and setup.

When I joined the Newcastle league it had already been running for a couple of seasons. There were six continuing teams and then two teams of brand new players. At first, I was nervous as we were all completely new to it but we quickly settled in and everyone from across every team was really supportive of each other.

As a newly formed team, we really struggled on the pitch. I think we won only one game in that first season, but off the pitch we lost shedloads of weight.

As a team, we won the weight loss league and I was the top loser, shedding at the time 32.8kgs. Weve had a few players come and go but we finished our third season winning the football league, combined football and weight loss league and I was the top loser again which I was really chuffed with. We had 4 of the top 10 weight loss scorers, so that team spirit has worked wonders.

Beyond our team though I think the ethos and camaraderie throughout the league is what makes it successful. At times and particularly in the heat of the moment things can get heated but the support and encouragement for each other is always there.

Joe is delighted with his weight loss.

He added: Losing the weight and improving my fitness has had a colossal impact on my life. Ive achieved multiple goals, Ive played on the hallowed turf of St James Park, Ive run - well, jogged - the world-famous Blaydon Races, Ive bought normal sized clothes from normal shops and I can slip through the turnstiles at the football with finesse now.

Due to the weight loss, some people havent recognised me and my parents neighbours thought they had a rarely seen third son. There have been challenges with injuries and health issues but Ive remained positive and with the support of those around me have continued along the journey.

Ive had so many positive comments from people that have encouraged me and Ive used this to fuel my passion along the way so a big shout out to everyone who has supported me along the way.

Joel says his weight loss is down to joining Man v Fat Football.

He said: Losing weight is about a calorie deficit. People who do the cabbage soup diet dont lose weight because theyre eating cabbage, they lose weight because their body is using more calories than theyre consuming. So for me tracking food and creating a bank of go-to meals and snacks was crucial.

With my sweet tooth Im thinking Tunnocks teacakes which are 100 calories, 90 calorie brownie bars and tonnes of strawberries.

Meet the Matakana foodie who lost 35kg by eating dessert every day – Now To Love

Posted: December 2, 2019 at 2:41 am

After having her son, Maja Pedovich Moors' weight failed to shift. So the clever chef came up with a tasty solution that's now turned into a full-time job.

By Amy Nelmes Bissett

Indulgent crme brle, zesty lemon cake and dreamy creamy roulades are usually the first to get the heave-ho on any diet plan, unless you're Maja Pedovich Moors, that is.

The mum-of-one lost a staggering 35kg by eating cake every single day! Her secret? She created sugar-free alternatives that taste just like the real deal.

"You wouldn't know they're any different to the real stuff," Maja boasts. "They're actually more filling, guilt-free and rich in high-quality ingredients. They're delicious!"

Maja was so impressed with her creations that she quit her job, bought a food truck and now sells her cakes full-time. "And I sell out most days," she tells.

But it's not Maja's first foray into food. A celebrated chef in her home country of Serbia, she moved to New Zealand in 2015 to work at a winery in Matakana, just out of Auckland. She only left the job just before Christmas to focus on her food truck.

But it was her degree in molecular gastronomy that helped with her mission to create incredible desserts that were healthy but tasted naughty. "There's definitely a science to it," she laughs.

It all started back in 2017 when Maja's weight crept up to 120kg after the birth of her son Mihajlo with her husband Bronson.

"I was suffering from post-natal depression and it was the biggest I've ever been, but I was in a dark place," she confesses.

"I almost quit it pretty quickly because the recipes out there were just so disgusting, especially the sweet stuff," Maja tells. "It was my husband who suggested I use my knowledge in molecular gastronomy to make some good stuff."

The idea was born and Maja was soon testing out cake recipes she'd used for years but using non-carbohydrate alternatives like almond flour and sugar replacements. And Erythritol, a sugar-substitute that can't be digested by the body, became her go-to ingredient.

"Erythritol has a different melting point but my knowledge from molecular gastronomy was the key there," explains Maja. "I knew the science behind how to make it all come together."

It took her two years, $20,000 and even a trip back home to Serbia to brainstorm with experts in her field to finally produce an array of cakes that she was completely happy with.

And when Maja made a meringue as light as a cloud but without using any sugar, she realised she had to share her creations with the rest of Aotearoa. So she used her savings and forked out $10,000 for a food truck that's open during the week in Wellsford or at food markets on the weekend.

"We bought the truck in July and since then, I've been non-stop busy," says Maja. "We did our first food market in Mangawhai in late October, and people travelled up from Auckland and were lining up outside just to try my cakes. I felt very complimented."

What's on offer is always changing, but she says her customers already have a few firm favourites, with the crme brle, lemon tart and panacotta always in hot demand.

But Maja admits she's most proud of turning her dark days with post-natal depression into something positive. "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade or in my case make a sugar-free lemon tart," she laughs.

1. Put cream in a pot and take off the heat just before it starts to boil.

2. Whisk the egg yolk with Erythritol in a separate bowl, then slowly add mixture to the cream, while constantly whisking.

3. Take off the foam with a ladle and pour the liquid into dishes before placing in a cold oven.

4. Turn on oven to 100C low fan for 20-30 minutes. When the liquid is not runny, the brle is ready to be taken out.

5. Leave overnight in the fridge. Before serving, put tablespoon Erythritol on top, then flame with a torch.

Staying on point: Geoff Collins turns message to recruiting after loss to Georgia – The Athletic

Posted: December 2, 2019 at 2:41 am

After Georgia Techs 2019 season came to a close with a 3-9 overall record and a 52-7 loss to Georgia, Geoff Collins stood behind a lectern for the final time during his first season as the Yellow Jackets head coach.

He had been fielding questions for about 18 minutes when Georgia Techs sports information director called for the final question. It was asked, Collins answered, then a reporter had one more question.

Its OK, Collins said to the room. I dont go out recruiting until noon tomorrow.

That meant he had time to answer one more question.

This wasnt a throwaway comment by the head coach; it was significant. Everything Collins says follows a specific agenda, and that has been on display during his first almost-full year with this program. Collins has talking points, and he sticks to them, and this was not a comment to get a few laughs in the room.

With this game schedule behind...

Help! I have diabetes Part 2 by Modupe Peters – Keep the Faith

Posted: December 2, 2019 at 2:41 am

Diet is fundamental in the treatment of the two main types of diabetes; type 1 and type 2, carbohydrates (carbs) are our main source of glucose for energy.

Foods that contain carbs also provide essential nutrients for good health. All the carbs we eat and drink are broken into glucose which helps our brain and nervous system to function properly.

The amount of carbohydrate eaten determines the rise in blood glucose level, and how quickly the rise will be is dependent on the type of carbohydrate (glycaemic index GI). This is why it is important for people with diabetes to be aware of the sources of carbs in their diet and the amount and type they are eating.

Carbohydrates; there two main types;

Starch: bread, cassava, cereal and grains, yam, sweet potato/potato,rice, fufu, pounded yam, kenkey, plaintain etc; they form the basis of ourmeals but controlling portions at meal times help to better regulate bloodglucose level, however in type 1 diabetes carbohydrate counting is used tobetter match amount of carbs eaten to insulin injected at meal times

Sugars; this can be divided into naturallyoccurring and free (or added sugar)

Naturallyoccurring: examples include those found in fruits (fructose), milk and yoghurt(lactose)

Free (addedsugar): are found in sweets, chocolate, sugary drinks and desserts, otherexamples could be those found in condensed milk

What isGlycaemic Index (GI)

Glycaemic Indexis a rating of how various carbohydrate foods can raise blood levels quickly, moderately or slowly. Different carbohydrate foods are digested at differentrates, the GI rates how quickly each carb containing food and drink makes bloodglucose level rise after eating them. The GI rating is between 1-100, the lowerthe number, the slower the digestion and absorption of the glucose in theblood. Foods that are digested slowly would raise blood glucose at a muchsteadier rate, the slower absorbed carbs are termed; low GI foods examplesinclude most fruits and vegetables, lentils/pulses, wholegrain bread, wholewheat pasta, sweet potato, and high GI foods would include foods likewhite bread, corn flakes or sugar coated or chocolate cereals and sugary drinkslike fruit juices

Research haveshown that choosing these low GI foods can help manage long term blood glucoselevels (HbA1c) in people with diabetes especially in type 2 diabetes. Thesefoods are also better options for general health whether or not you havediabetes. Not all low GI foods are healthy choices though; chocolates and cakesfor example have low GI because of their fat content which slows down thedigestion and absorption of carbohydrate

Type 1Diabetes:

Carb countingis key to management of type 1, this involves matching amount of carbs at mealtime with insulin, this allows for more flexibility. A number of structurededucation programmes are available to teach these essential skills i.e. DAFNE(Dose Adjustment For Normal Eating)

Type 2;

People withtype 2 diabetes do need to be carb aware so portion size control is quiteessential not just for regulating blood glucose levels but also for weight loss(portion size guide for weight loss; aim for half plate to be vegetables/saladand the remaining half plate to be split between protein foods ie meat/fish andhalf for starchy carbs). Weight loss is crucial to the management of bloodglucose in overweight or obese people with type 2 diabetes. Reducing overallcalorie intake and increasing activity levels are the best ways of losingweight healthily and keeping it off for good.

Some healthyeating tips:

What we feed our body determines how it will function, balancing this with spiritual food it needs to be well looked after and treated as the temple of the most high so it can function for His will and purpose

Petr Yan vs. Urijah Faber

This is a perfect fight for both guys, so kudos to the matchmakers for putting it together and props to both men for signing on the dotted line.

Yan has been as good as advertised since arriving in the UFC in the summer of 2018, winning five straight to climb into contention in the talent-rich bantamweight division. He outworked John Dodson in February and did the same to Jimmie Rivera at UFC 238 in Chicago, but doesnt yet have the kind of marquee victory that is going to vault him to the front of the queue of contenders in such a loaded weight class.

Beating Faber would certainly do the trick, but thats easier said than done, as the 40-year-old California Kid ended his 31-month retirement with a first-round stoppage win over Ricky Simon in July to put himself back into the mix in the 135-pound ranks. The proud new father has still only lost to elite competition and showed hes still sharp by finishing Simon, so while Yan is running hot, he will need to be careful against the crafty veteran from Sacramento.

Marlon Moraes vs. Jose Aldo

Up until a couple months ago, this was one of those fights you could only make on EA Sports UFC 3. Now, its an ultra-compelling reality and one of several incredible fights slated for the UFC 245 main card.

Moraes cemented his place as the No. 1 contender in the bantamweight division with a first-round submission win over Raphael Assuncao in February, but came up short in his bid to claim the vacant title in June, losing to Henry Cejudo. The New Jersey-based Brazilian is a fast starter with punishing kicks and an opportunistic submission game, and after getting out to an early lead and then faltering at UFC 238, you can be sure Moraes has been chomping at the bit to get back to work and back into the win column.

Aldo picked up a stoppage win of his own on the same card where Moraes tapped Assuncao, but followed it up with a flat performance in a loss against Alexander Volkanovski three months later. While this move to bantamweight caught many by surprise, hes looked to be in great shape in the lead-up to this bout, and if relocating lights a fire in the former featherweight titleholder, the 135-pound weight class could be even more exciting and intriguing in 2020.

Amanda Nunes vs. Germaine de Randamie for the UFC womens bantamweight title

Nunes heads into this one looking to continue her historic run of success, while the criminally underappreciated de Randamie looks to join her as only the second woman to hold UFC titles in two weight classes.

The defending champion has earned nine consecutive victories during her ascent to being recognized as the greatest female fighter of all-time, a run that includes back-to-back first-round finishes of Cris Cyborg and Holly Holm. Nunes has worked hard to shore up any previous shortcomings in her game and fights with a ferocity and power that is unmatched in the womens ranks.

The challenger hasnt lost since these two first met all the way back in November 2013. Since then, The Iron Lady has collected five straight victories, capped by her blistering stoppage win over Aspen Ladd in July. A decorated kickboxer, de Randamie has a slight height and reach advantage and might be the only competitor in either the bantamweight or featherweight division capable of going toe-to-toe with Nunes.

Expect these women to come out of the gate quickly and this one to be electric for as long as it lasts.

Online life insurance company Bestow offers competitive pricing, for 2 to 20 years at a time. Here’s how it works and what to expect. – Business…

Posted: December 2, 2019 at 2:41 am

If you have dependents others who rely on your income, whether that's children, a spouse, or aging parents you probably need life insurance. The good news is that with the rise of online life insurance companies, it's not nearly as hard as it sounds to get hundreds of thousands, or even millions, of dollars in life insurance to protect your family should you die unexpectedly.

Bestow is one of those companies.

Bestow is an online life insurance company whose mission is "helping people protect their people." Technically, it's an insurance agent, meaning it's the link between customers and the insurance carrier North American Company for Life and Health Insurance.

Bestow offers term life insurance plans that are valid for a specific period of time. Term life insurance, as opposed to whole or permanent life insurance, is the type generally recommended by experts for people in most financial situations. Term life covers the policyholder for only the pre-determined period of time, and then expires after, say, 30 years, when the policyholder might no longer have dependents. Because the value expires, term life insurance is much cheaper than whole life insurance, and the rate and payout are fixed: You'll pay the same amount every month throughout the entire policy, and your death benefit won't change over time.

It's standard when getting life insurance to undergo a medical check-up, but with Bestow (like with some other online life insurance companies), there are no medical visits required. Instead, the company asks you about your health and lifestyle and uses predictive models to get information about your health and wellness. It also provides customer support, advice from licensed life insurance agents, and the ability to cancel your plan at any time.

Let's face it: Life insurance isn't exactly something people love to talk about, but it's an important part of a comprehensive financial plan. Life insurance provides a lump sum of money to your chosen beneficiaries (in most cases, your spouse or children) upon your death. This money can cover the cost of the funeral, help cover loss of your income, or pay any of your outstanding debts.

Anyone who has dependents others relying on their income, whether that's children, a non-working spouse, or aging parents probably needs life insurance.

Bestow offers two types of life insurance plans: 10 and 20-year plans, and more unusual two-year plans (more on those below). The cost of these plans will vary by person based not only on how long they last, but also factors like your age, smoking status, and weight. Note that Bestow offers 20-year terms to people ages 21 to 45, and 10-year or two-year terms to people ages 21 to 55.

Both plans allow you to cancel any time, without paying any fees. You can apply for a plan in a matter of minutes and get approved quickly.

Its 10 and 20-year term life insurance plans start at $8 per month for up to $1 million in coverage.

Under the 10 and 20-year terms, you can get affordable coverage for your family and protect your financial life for the long term. You'll pay the least amount per month if you're young and healthy. The price can go up with an increase in age and any medical issues.

This is a good plan if:

The two-year life insurance plan starts at $3 per month for coverage up to $500,000. According to Bestow, this plan is the easiest to get approved for and has the fastest application. It is designed for people in transition or people who'd like to be covered for a longer period of time but are not sure they qualify.

This is a good plan if:

Life insurance is a serious decision, and there plenty of companies that can help you get it. Here are the primary pros and cons for using Bestow for your life insurance needs:

Pros:

Cons:

If you think Bestow is the right life insurance for you, you can apply online quickly. Here's how it works:

You'll input your gender, birth date, height, weight, and state you live in, as well as whether you currently use any nicotine products.

Bestow

I input my information as an example. I'm mid-30s and height and weight proportional. I don't smoke, and my prospective rate is $22.50 a month for a $500,000 policy with a 20-year term.

Bestow

This is exactly as easy as you'd expect.

After that, you'll answer a quick seven-question survey about your health. The questions are about rapid weight loss, HIV status, disability payments, and depression, to determine whether there are any health conditions that affect you now and could affect you in the long term.

Then you'll answer a 10-question lifestyle survey. You'll be asked if you're a US citizen, where you were born, if you're traveling more than 30 days to another country, your employment type and income, and info about your driver's license.

After that, you'll be asked to provide your Social Security Number and digital signature. You'll be able to review your application before submitting. After, you'll verify your ID. Then, there's the underwriting process for approval. Here's what my final offer looked like:

Bestow

The final number was about $17 a month more than my initial quote, once I filled out the in-depth survey. Your physical and mental health history may affect your final rate.

Overall, Bestow can be a good option for those who want to navigate a life transition with a short-term two-year plan or for those who prioritize convenience and no doctor visits. Just make sure that the maximum coverage works for your needs, and consider getting quotes from other insurers to find the most affordable coverage for you.

Is GetSwift (ASX:GSW) In A Good Position To Deliver On Growth Plans? – Simply Wall St

Posted: December 2, 2019 at 2:41 am

Theres no doubt that money can be made by owning shares of unprofitable businesses. For example, although Amazon.com made losses for many years after listing, if you had bought and held the shares since 1999, you would have made a fortune. Nonetheless, only a fool would ignore the risk that a loss making company burns through its cash too quickly.

So should GetSwift (ASX:GSW) shareholders be worried about its cash burn? For the purposes of this article, cash burn is the annual rate at which an unprofitable company spends cash to fund its growth; its negative free cash flow. First, well determine its cash runway by comparing its cash burn with its cash reserves.

Check out our latest analysis for GetSwift

You can calculate a companys cash runway by dividing the amount of cash it has by the rate at which it is spending that cash. As at June 2019, GetSwift had cash of AU$69m and no debt. In the last year, its cash burn was AU$27m. That means it had a cash runway of about 2.5 years as of June 2019. Thats decent, giving the company a couple years to develop its business. Depicted below, you can see how its cash holdings have changed over time.

Although GetSwift had revenue of AU$2.1m in the last twelve months, its operating revenue was only AU$2.1m in that time period. Given how low that operating leverage is, we think its too early to put much weight on the revenue growth, so well focus on how the cash burn is changing, instead. In fact, it ramped its spending strongly over the last year, increasing cash burn by 192%. That sort of spending growth rate cant continue for very long before it causes balance sheet weakness, generally speaking. In reality, this article only makes a short study of the companys growth data. You can take a look at how GetSwift is growing revenue over time by checking this visualization of past revenue growth.

While GetSwift does have a solid cash runway, its cash burn trajectory may have some shareholders thinking ahead to when the company may need to raise more cash. Issuing new shares, or taking on debt, are the most common ways for a listed company to raise more money for its business. Commonly, a business will sell new shares in itself to raise cash to drive growth. By comparing a companys annual cash burn to its total market capitalisation, we can estimate roughly how many shares it would have to issue in order to run the company for another year (at the same burn rate).

Since it has a market capitalisation of AU$97m, GetSwifts AU$27m in cash burn equates to about 28% of its market value. Thats fairly notable cash burn, so if the company had to sell shares to cover the cost of another years operations, shareholders would suffer some costly dilution.

On this analysis of GetSwifts cash burn, we think its cash runway was reassuring, while its increasing cash burn has us a bit worried. Even though we dont think it has a problem with its cash burn, the analysis weve done in this article does suggest that shareholders should give some careful thought to the potential cost of raising more money in the future. When you dont have traditional metrics like earnings per share and free cash flow to value a company, many are extra motivated to consider qualitative factors such as whether insiders are buying or selling shares. Is Sean Murphy-Buntings interception evidence of the Bucs new normal? – Tampa Bay Times

Posted: December 2, 2019 at 2:41 am

JACKSONVILLE Their huge lead had shrunk, and the Bucs were fast-forwarding through a greatest hits list of blunders.

Lets see, there was the turnover that led to the first Jaguars score. There was the sack that led to the second. There was the defensive penalty on fourth down that put Jacksonville one yard away from cutting what had once been a 25-point lead down to a single touchdown with plenty of time remaining.

You were familiar with this story. You knew the characters, and you were already bracing yourself for how it would end.

And then, suddenly, a kid steps in front of a pass and everything changes.

Turns out, the Bucs held on to beat the Jaguars 28-11 on Sunday. Rookie cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting intercepted a pass in the end zone to preserve a fourth-quarter goal-line stand, and the rest of us were left wondering if we had written this team off too soon.

Thats one of those things, coach Bruce Arians said of the goal-line stand, you can take and build off of for a long time.

Tampa Bay has now won three out of four for the first time since 2016. The defense that was looking historically bad a month ago has forced six turnovers and recorded 11 sacks the past two weeks. There is a confidence. There is a belief. There is a reason to look ahead.

Is it possible there is also a new normal for the Bucs?

I know what kind of defense we have, and I knew how we were going to respond in that moment, said cornerback Carlton Davis. Get used to it. Youre going to see a lot of plays like this moving forward.

You could point out that the last three victories have come against teams that are 4-8, 3-9 and 3-7-1. Thats fair. You could also point out that Tampa Bay has lost its three most recent games against teams with winning records. Thats also fair.

But it misses the unmistakable growth seen in Tampa Bays young secondary in the past month. The Jaguars were two yards away from cutting the lead to 25-18 when Murphy-Bunting made a play that he might not have recognized quickly enough just a couple of months ago.

We all talk about being playmakers, and Sean stepped up made a big play, said linebacker Lavonte David, who got in Murphy-Buntings face after the interception. I told him, 'Way to go man. Way to bail us out. Thats what we need to do around here. We need to step up and make plays when we have the opportunity.

And thats whats been happening in the secondary. Davis had a big second-half interception against the Falcons. Two weeks before that, it was Jamel Dean against the Cardinals. This time, it was Murphy-Bunting. Two rookies, and a second-year player. And Davis is the oldest of the bunch at 23.

In this case, the recognition was much more impressive than the execution. Murphy-Bunting was playing the slot receiver inside and Ryan Smith had Dede Westbrook on the outside when the play was snapped. The two receivers crossed paths, and so Murphy-Bunting told Westbrook to switch off.

When I saw him coming across on the slant, I peeked back at the quarterback and saw the ball coming and I just jumped the route, Murphy-Bunting said. At the beginning of the season, I cant tell you if I would have made that play or not. Moving forward I can tell you that play will be made every time.

The Bucs had a late lead against the Giants in September, but allowed rookie quarterback Daniel Jones to drive 75 yards in the final three minutes for the winning score. They had a second-half lead against the Titans in October, but gave up consecutive scoring drives for another collapse.

On the Monday following the Tennessee loss, the defensive backs got together at the training complex after everyone else had left and talked about turning things around.

Basically, we said this has to end. We have to carry our own weight. Our run defense cant carry us every time, Murphy-Bunting said. Teams were literally passing on us at will. Thats never good at the NFL level. We all had to bow up, we had to grow up, we had to show up. We had to do what were doing now.

Its a small sample size, and it might be skewed by the level of competition. But its a start.

And its a lot different from what weve been conditioned to expect.
