Popular singer Rimi Tomy believes in living life to the fullest. So, when she felt that she had to be healthy and fit, Rimi did not waste any time and got to work.
The singer was able to lose 13kg through proper workout and diet plan. Rimi has talked about her weight-loss journey in her latest YouTube video.
"We need to better take of our health as we get older. We need to be aware of what is the correct weight for our height. Spending one or two hours of our day on workout is not much of an effort when compared to the results," Rimi said in the video.
Chronicling her journey, Rimi said that she first had thoughts on losing weight in 2012. I put on weight very fast. Like I gain 1kg or 2kg within a week," she explained.
Rimi has managed to bring down the weighing scale from 65kg to 52kg, ie, the ideal weight for her height.
The popular singer said that she is now making efforts to maintain this weight.
People have taken notice of this remarkable transformation and has been quizzing her about her fitness mantra. But Rimi says no short-cuts, just workout.
Even during the COVID-19 lockdown days, Rimi has been religiously working out from her home.
Listing out the benefits of a fit body, Rimi said, "I used to come down with cold or fever at least once in a month. And I had to be frequently put on anti-biotics. Once I started regularly working out, my immunity improved. I have been able to keep the illnesses at bay for the past six months. Also, I feel more energetic."
