Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards posted a throwback swimsuit photo that left some fans scratching their heads, and started a conversation in the comments section about body image during quarantine.
The photo, taken in 2017 by Erika Jayne in Mykonos, Greece, is Kyle's source of weight-loss motivation, as she feels the past few weeks haven't been her healthiest.
Now I need to use it as incentive to take off the 10 LBS I have gained in quarantine, she captioned the photo. I am not ready to be set free into the wild yet! I work out everyday but have to stop with the After Cinco de Mayo I am done I am telling you, finito bandito
While friends (and a few fellow Housewives) complimented her physique, some fans weren't too happy that she's posting about weight loss during this stressful, difficult time.
There are women out there who suffer from poor self esteem and body image issues... seeing a skinny fit person with like 5 pelotons saying something like this can have an affect on them, one fan wrote.
...Kyle is not responsible for anyones self esteem but her own... another replied.
Kyle clapped back at one fan who suggested she needed to check her priorities.
If theres anything this quarantine experience should teach us is that who freaking cares about how much weight we put on or off It could be so much worse. Embrace those extra pounds. Besides you have all the money in the world to take them off in a week, the fan said.
Kyle replied: It takes discipline and hard work to lose weight and get in shape. Not money.
