1)Another recent study pointed to the health benefit of a Mediterranean diet in reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease. 2) 4 Tablespoons of Olive oil per day, a handful of nuts and a glass of wine were several of the key components of the Mediterranean diet. 3)Whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, low fat diary, herbs and spices instead of salt and more fish and chicken with less red meat were a big part of this Mediterranean diet.
