Michael Woerdman, who creates fitness content on YouTube as the Calisthenics Family, recently set himself the challenge of getting into the best shape of his life in 30 days. He was joined in the month-long transformation by his girlfriend Michelle Terlinden.
They both did intense calisthenics workouts six days a week, as well as keeping close track of their calorie and macros, and gradually reducing their caloric intake throughout the 30 days.

"The workouts went pretty well, I didn't have much struggle to train every day doing the cardio sessions after work, but diet-wise, I already had some struggles to leave all the food and watch all the calories," he says. "I'm already noticing a lot of cravings, and this is only the first week."
Moving into the second week, Michael takes 300 calories off his daily diet, and ups the workouts from three rounds to four. He also adds two extra 15-minute high intensity cardio sessions.
Three weeks in, they reduce their calorie intake even more, by lowering the amounts of each ingredient that they use in their regular meals, and substituting certain items, like switching out brown rice for cauliflower rice.

At the start of the challenge, Michael weighs 78.3 kgs (around 172 pounds) and Michelle weighs 65.6 kgs (145 pounds). At the end, Michalle has lost nearly 3 kgs and Michael has lost 3.8 kgs. Michael is visibly more ripped, with additional definition in his abs and a considerably slimmer appearance in his face. "The facial transformation is shocking to me," he says. "I can proudly say I actually have a proper jawline right now."
