One of the hard-to-avoid side effects of spending such an extended period of time indoors over the last several months has been that a lot of people have gained weight. Without any real routine, and snacks within reach at all times, it's been far too easy to put on the quarantine 15.
But for YouTuber Aaron Burriss, having this unprecedented amount of free time presented the ideal opportunity to make some positive changes to his diet and lifestyle. Over the course of four months, he dropped from 230 pounds to 185 pounds.
"I've lost 45 pounds during quarantine," he says. "Which was really hard to do, given that we were stuck at home and, honestly, given the chance to just sit on the couch and watch Netflix and eat pizza and cookies and just really bad food."
"Luckily, my brother and I live together, and he a huge motivator," he continues. "He motivated me a lot to work out. So with him working out with me, eating right, and just being active and having a goal, I was able to do it."
Four months later, Aaron is visibly slimmer. "I look very skinny, I feel very very light," he says. "As you can tell, my man boobs [are gone] and I don't have love handles any more.

He adds that there is still some belly fat that has been "a real pain to get rid of." In an attempt to lean down even further, he has recently started incorporating cardio into his workouts specifically running. "It's so different, and so much harder than I expected," he says.
Now that he has lost the weight, Aaron intends to focus his efforts on building strength and muscle, with the goal of getting into the absolute best shape of his life by the end of the year.
