FALL RIVER If you have undergone bariatric surgery for weight loss, or are thinking about it but arent sure where to start, the Steward Center for Weight Control at Saint Annes Hospital now offers two free programs available to you right in the comfort of your home.
Sept. 2: If you have undergone or are scheduled for bariatric surgery in the coming months: Our free online monthly support group is a great way to support yourself and others. Led by a member of the bariatric surgery program, the support group focuses on different topics each month and encourages interactive participation. Time: 5-6 p.m.
Sept. 8: If youre considering bariatric surgery: Register for a free online informational seminar with surgeon Matthew LeMaitre, MD. Director of metabolic and bariatric surgery at the Steward Center for Weight Control at Saint Annes Hospital, Dr. LeMaitre will explain options in weight loss surgery and how Saint Annes program provides you with the tools and ongoing lifestyle support you need to be successful. Time: 6-6:45 p.m.
Both programs are free of charge but do require advance registration. To register or learn more, call 508-235-5305, or email SAHRSVP@Steward.org. To ensure registration, please register at least one day in advance.
Saint Annes Hospitals bariatric surgery program is accredited as a comprehensive program by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program, a joint program of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
