Fitness YouTuber Will Tennyson loves to follow the training and eating regimens of famous athletes and actors. He's done a day in the life of Mark Wahlberg, bodybuilder Renaldo Gairy, and even singer Jennifer Lopez.
For his latest upload, he decided to follow the daily routine of heavyweight boxing legend Mike Tyson. Tennyson plans to eat "tons of food" (between 3,000-4,000 calories), then add lots of jogging, technique training, and calisthenics to get into his boxing shape.
The day starts for Tennyson at 4 a.m., since Tyson likes to wake up at that time and begin his day with a 3 to 5 mile jog. The reason? Tyson believes that his opponents are still asleep at that time, and likes to get ahead.
Tennyson runs 4 miles, and heads back to bed until breakfast time at 10 a.m. According to Tennyson, Tyson refuels with a pretty simple breakfast: oatmeal, milk and his daily vitamins.
Next, he starts his training with 10 rounds of sparring for 2 minutes each and 45 second rest in between.

"I feel like a lot of people underestimate just how hard boxing is on your cardiovascular system cuz you don't see a lot of running. But you're exerting so much force with the punches, that after 10 rounds of 2 minute I'm gonna be wiped," says Tennyson.
Immediately after the 10 rounds, he moves to calisthenics. It's a high-rep, low-weight workout:
- 2,000 squats- 500 triceps extensions- 500 pushups- 500 shrugs with 30 kilos (65 pounds)- 500 neck crunches- 30 minutes of neck bridges (Tennyson notes that the safety of this exercise is controversial, and will not be doing it.)
But Tyson doesn't do the workout all at once. He spreads it out into three different sessions throughout the day. Tennyson decides to break it down into sets of 50 reps for his first session.
"That was 1 round, and I'm already curled up in a ball," he says. "This is insane, but if you want to be the best in your sport, you got to get outside of your comfort zone. Only the great ones do this stuff, and he does this 5 times a week."
Afterwards, Tennyson hits the shower and makes lunch, which is 150 grams of white rice, a 9 oz. chicken breast, and a tall glass of orange juice.
"After looking at his diet, he doesn't have a variety of foods. Every meal is a carb and a protein. And it doesn't seem like he's not eating for enjoyment, he's just eating for fuel, and that's a true athlete to me," says Tennyson.

After lunch, it's back to sparring. This workout is only 6 rounds, but also includes speed bag work and jumping rope. Then, he's back to another round of calisthenics.
"I know it's a very repetitive day, but that's just what the champs do," says Tennyson.
Once he's done, it's snack time. The meal is a bit... odd. The snack is 6 bananas and a protein shake.
"It seems a little bit overkill, but I definitely need the carbs right now," says Tennyson.
Once he's done snacking, he finishes up the rest of his calisthenics, and then moves on to shadowboxing.
"You're just punching air, but I'm telling you, you run out of gas," says Tennyson.
He hits the shower again, and is ready for dinner. He grills up a 9-ounce sirloin steak, and pairs it with pasta and a tropical juice.
After dinner, he has one more workout: 30 minutes to an hour on an exercise bike.
At the end of the day, he's wiped out.
"I'm very sore. My neck is super stiff, and I know I'm going to be feeling it for a few days after this," he says.
